Orbis Technologies, Inc.’s to Showcase REnDER Product at Key Geospatial Intelligence Industry Event

Annapolis, MD – September 14, 2017 In less than one week, Orbis’ REnDER team will make the short trip over to Chantilly, VA, for the 2017 GEOINT Portfolio Conference. Hosted by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), this two-day classified event takes place September 20th and 21st, featuring noted speakers, industry-specific presentations, and discussion of current and future GEOINT capabilities and challenges.

This prestigious event will also include over 40 unclassified industry technologies and products that will be unveiled during the Technology Exposition portion of the conference. The show will be a great opportunity for attendees to gain knowledge of the latest technologies in geospatial intelligence and technology innovations. As one of the most prominent gatherings of its kind, the GEOINT Portfolio Conference is sure to be an excellent avenue for REnDER to be exposed to the Defense and Intelligence communities.

The Redaction and Exploitation Releasability (REnDER) Tool is a one-of-a-kind automation tool designed to automate intelligence work product redaction and  dissemination processes. The software automatically redacts work product content and NITF metadatabased on built-in releasability rules sets, and then subsequently disseminate Intelligence Work Products to Coalition partners. REnDER reduces the redaction time significantly, while enhancing the releasability rules creation process. In addition to image redaction, REnDER also supports Full Motion Video (FMV), allowing analysts to automatically generate and redact FMV Intelligence Work Products.

RSuite Enterprise Content Management System Hosts 10th Annual User Conference

Annapolis, MD – Orbis Technologies, makers of the RSuite Enterprise Content Management System, will host its 10th User Conference and Tech Day on September 18th – 19th at the Convene Cira Centre in Philadelphia, PA.  This annual event allows both current members of the global RSuite community and those considering RSuite to interact, discuss trends, and get a sneak peek at what’s next with RSuite.

This year’s themes include building in semantics for a more powerful solution, making RSuite useful to a broader range of users and content, and improving support for enterprise-scale usage. The focus on semantics will highlight the power of combining RSuite with Orbis semantic solutions.

“While there are many opportunities for our community to engage throughout the year – RSuite User Group Meetings, online forums, etc. – the User Conference is special,” stated Lisa Bos, Corporate Executive Vice President, Content Management Software at Orbis.  “This event gives our users, potential users, and industry partners a significant ‘leg up’ in an industry that moves ridiculously fast.”

The two-day event features technical and non-technical sessions, as well as both customer and industry expert panels.  The full agenda and links to registration may be found at https://www.orbistechnologies.com/2017-rsuite-user-conference-and-tech-day/agenda.

The RSuite User Conference is made possible in part by the generosity of our platinum sponsor, MarkLogic (www.marklogic.com), and Silver Sponsors, Artlin Consulting and Data Conversion Laboratory.

Publishing process got you in a pickle?

Posted by Lisa Bos on Sep 1, 2017 11:28:16 AM

Long, long ago Jeff Wood made me a t-shirt that read "Publishing Process Got You in a Pickle?" accompanied by a hokey animated pickle graphic. It came up during today's planning meeting for the upcoming 2017 RSuite User Conference and had us all roaring.

Publishing Process Pickle.png The joke behind the shirt is lost to history, but we're still here seventeen years later, helping publishers re-imagine complex processes and deliver content in new ways. Today our customers include not only professional publishers, but also publishing teams in enterprises across a variety of industries.

If you have publishing challenges of your own, think about coming to the RSuite User Conference on September 19. I'll be sharing RSuite's past, present, and future in an uncomplicated way as I walk through our product roadmap. Don't miss the opportunity to see what's in store for the next versions of RSuite, including:

  • building in semantics for a more powerful and informative solution
  • making RSuite useful to a broader range of users and content
  • improving support for enterprise-scale deployments

(Yes, I still have the t-shirt. No, I won't wear it to the User Conference.)
