Annapolis, MD, July 15, 2019- Local technology company, Orbis Technologies, Inc., confirms its sponsorship at the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Development Conference on August 1st and 2nd at the Maritime Conference Center in Baltimore, MD, where they will highlight their content management systems (CMS) and some exciting job opportunities.

Many developer conferences focus solely on languages like PHP or JavaScript; however, there are only a few programmers that only work in one technology. The Mid-Atlantic Dev Con creates a larger scope and recognizes all languages, to include everyone.

Orbis Technologies looks forward to sharing its world-renowned CMS software products with visiting developers at the conference. In addition to showcasing their CMS software, Orbis will offer information about their current job openings. “We are riding the wave of rapid growth at Orbis and are looking for technologists who are excited to expand their future with us,” says Heena Kazi, HR Manager at Orbis.

Orbis to Present at Inaugural Army S&T Symposium in Washington, DC

Posted by Sergei Moore on Aug 15, 2018 4:06:52 PM

Annapolis, MD) Orbis Technologies, Inc. is proud to announce its selection as a presenting organization for the first Army Science & Technology Symposium and Showcase, taking place next week. The event will run from August 21-23 and will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Kojo Linder, Orbis’ Chief Scientist, will demonstrate “Multimedia Topic Modeling for Threat Actor Identification." Dr. Linder will discuss how machine learning can be exploited to prioritize multimedia artifacts (videos, images) found on social media for identifying threat actors.

The current process of identifying relevant threat actors in online multimedia artifacts is limited to keyword searches and evaluating metadata tags, both of which result in large processing times and an abundance of artifacts with little relevance.  To overcome these challenges, Orbis implements clustering models to group relevant artifacts based on text associated with the artifacts (chatroom blogs, tweets).

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is sponsoring the Symposium and will feature the latest technologies, tools, and research developments that will strengthen and sustain the warfighter. The theme of the 2018 Army Science and Technology Symposium and Showcase is: Empowering a Soldier’s Success.

Founded in 2006, Orbis is recognized as an industry leader in services and technologies for designing and developing next-generation Enterprise Content Management Software, Solutions, Services and analytics. Orbis holds its corporate office in Annapolis (MD), with additional offices in Orlando (FL), Tampa (FL), Audubon (PA), and Chennai, India.

Orbis takes REnDER to Major Geospatial Industry Event for 2nd Year in a Row

Posted by Sergei Moore on Mar 14, 2018 1:44:49 PM

(Annapolis, Md.) In just a few days, Orbis Technologies will make their second straight appearance at the GXP360 Professional Exchange and Workshop, once again taking place at the stunning Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.  The GXP business is a subsidiary of BAE Systems, a leader in the fields of global defense, security, Geospatial Intelligence and aerospace. In past years, this event has not only been a great opportunity for exposure, but also a chance to gain pragmatic advice, actionable best practices, direct insight from warfighters, and meaningful new relationships. The Exchange and Workshop will begin on March 19 and run until March 23; Orbis will be one of only ten exhibitors at this event.  Be sure to stop by the Orbis booth and learn more about the REnDER product.

The Redaction and Exploitation Releasability (REnDER) Tool is a one-of-a-kind automation tool designed to automate Intelligence workflow processes. The software enables analysts to seamlessly redact content based on built-in procedures, and then subsequently disseminate Intelligence Work Products to Coalition partners. REnDER reduces the redaction time significantly, while enhancing the releasability rules creation process. In addition to image redaction, REnDER also supports Full Motion Video (FMV), allowing analysts to automatically generate and redact FMV Intelligence Work Products.

For over a decade Orbis Technologies, Inc. has been a leader in building and deploying mission critical content and information management solutions.  Beginning as a DoD software solution provider in 2006, Orbis continues to expand market presence to Fortune 500 businesses, Federal agencies, and global publishers and media companies.  Our disciplined approach to software solutions and product development has afforded us the opportunity to work with premier clients around the world.  We firmly believe in structured software solution development methodologies and hold ourselves to the highest standards to deliver quality products, services, and solutions that fully meet or exceed our customer requirements.  Orbis is headquartered in Annapolis (MD), with additional offices in Audubon (PA), Orlando (FL), and Chennai (India).
