(Annapolis, MD) On November 1st, 2018, Orbis Technologies, Inc. was awarded a contract from the Department of Defense (DoD) to deliver an enterprise level automated security workflow and universal sign-on solution. This marks yet another major contract award for Orbis this year.
The award was the result of a competitive procurement where Orbis demonstrated an innovative solution. This new solution will save a significant amount of time and effort logging on and off the DoD system. Once delivered, users will spend less time logging into systems and more time conducting mission support and analysis activities to provide a better and more accurate view of the data they are processing. It will also significantly improve the overall security posture of the organization. “Orbis has extensive experience integrating enterprise content in highly secure environments for large Fortune 50 and Department of Defense clients. The award demonstrates our strength and expertise in this area,” said Brian Ippolito, Orbis’ President and CEO.
The contract was awarded through an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract vehicle. An OTA allows the DoD to award contracts quickly to commercial software companies through a streamlined acquisition process. This is the second OTA contract award for Orbis. The previous award has resulted in the successful delivery of the Orbis REnDER product to the Air Force. REnDER software is an innovative solution that dramatically reduces user workload and improve user productivity through workflow automation.
